This month was not good for me, work has been beating me to a pulp, also I think the fact that I finished out 24 characters combined with the fact that there's been issues going on with my Dolls of War test session hurt my motivation a bit. Now though I'm back at it! With the release of the SKU-No Call Sign model I'm going to go back to weekly characters, if NOT something related to Dolls of War in some form of fashion. For instance!
on my website I have finally gotten idea on the layout of how the Models will work, currently the Century Model I consider to be the most 'complete' so far, it's missing some stuff but compared to the majority of the rest that have broken images and no detailed notes Century is most in depth so far! As deserved for one of my first models I've created!
As a bonus for reading this I might as well talk about Lucky Shot!
Lucky Shot I believe was one of the very first then faction now corpo that I thought up for this setting. The idea was to have this one faction that kept desperately trying to look good but fails, and while everyone and their grandmother knows they STILL end up suckering people of their shoddy product. That's both hilarious and tragic about them is that some of their ideas ARE solid, but higher ups keep screwing their own staff. They are the cheapest faction, and picking them is an uphill battle for research, and personally as far as sponsors go they are more untrustworthy than the insane Blood Butchers.
The goat. The legend. The Century Model. I've had this design for half a decade. Her first incarnation was actually in 3D believe it or not!
Back before Unity shot itself on the foot, the first incarnation of Dolls of War was going to be playing as a Wischen model wielding a Heilen's Halberd, the project was very bare bones, the idea starting out with fighting against Centuries and Rippers, and moving down to more cult-like enemies down the line. Ultimately I was not dedicated enough to go through with this concept. One day I do wish to go back to the idea, but as of right now I am very fine with Dolls of War being a pen and paper game. At one point I was actually going to proportion this model this year but ultimately switching towards drawing the Models was more prosperous.
I like the Centuries. They try their best.
These cheeky troublemakers I like. really helped me shake my worries in terms of designing things involving boobs. A clear reminder that despite playing a dystopian post-apocolayptic setting, it's fine just to be silly here and there. You all haven't experience what's under the hood, but the setting, especially with the cultists, get very (deliberately) edgy at times. Honestly a bit of me is worried but really I just need to focus, it's my first personal project ultimately made for myself, and honestly it feels like the world is slowly turning against what I want to create, and I just have to fight back and just create what I want, edge, boobs, and all.

Where was I, oh right the Bomber. Tiddy bombs, I legit love the idea of her removing the primers on her breasts, giving a cultist a BIG hug with the widest slasher shit eating grin ever and just nuking the both of them. MOVING ON!
Vulture I had the most trouble with, earlier designs had her have a shield and a big Calico, which honestly I still kinda wanna do down the line. I would LOVE more variants. Vultures I feel like would be the only 'legit' model Lucky Shot has only because they didn't design the damn model themselves. I have no idea on how Users would actually go for her but the idea of the Vulture is to be the universal medic for any Squad of Models.
I do like the idea of them using their multiple arms to put people back together. Are Vultures considered to be Medics or Engineers? very unsure to be honest!
Still wanna give this girl a shield, I have another Model not realized yet that does.
Oh god the hair on Legate was a total nightmare and also my first attempt at cloth shading, horrid horrid hair shading as well, glad I asked for opinions on the hair. I really don't consider myself good at shading cloths I'm still learning as I go! A part of me wanted to name all of Lucky Shot model's to be latin or roman base, with is 50/50 at this point. Might save that motif for later maybe. After this month of work I definately relate to Legates, they are the unsung heroines of any LS PMCs, hardest of workers yet constant shit flung on them all the damn time.
They (and me) need a vacation.

The System's only (known?) Model that is directly from them! Funny enough Skuncs are actually back from the old fps design ideas! Currently they are meant to be like the most basic of basic, the most universal generic models with absolutely no benefits at all. I don't know if I steered off the concept over the years, but I REALLY want to emphesize that in this world, literally every single soul, at least within The System, is a literal product to be bought. with humans actually being replaced by their robot counterpart. I really haven't touched how deep I want the dystopia to be. It's 100% there and I am more than willing to go deep, but same time I also want the game to be fun as well. We shall only see!
It's been a stagnant month, with full of hiccups and snags, but I am ready to go again! I just gotta tread cafefully, I do not want to risk burnout, at the same time, I MUST keep moving forward!!
